Spicy Watermelon Margarita Recipe

Spicy Watermelon Margarita Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh watermelon chunks (seedless)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2-3 limes)
  • 1-2 slices of fresh jalapeño (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 2 ounces Casa Migos vodka
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Red pepper flakes and salt for garnish
  • Watermelon slice or lime wedge for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Glass:

  • Begin by preparing your margarita glass. Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass.
  • On a small plate, mix together a fine blend of red pepper flakes and salt.
  • Dip the rim of the glass into the red pepper flakes and salt mixture to coat it evenly. Set aside.

2. Prepare the Watermelon:

  • Remove the seeds from the watermelon chunks if necessary.
  • Place the watermelon chunks in a blender and blend until you have a smooth watermelon puree.

3. Mix the Margarita:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh lime juice, sliced jalapeño, Casa Migos vodka, and agave nectar or simple syrup.
  • Muddle the jalapeño slices gently to release their spicy flavor.
  • Add 1 cup of the watermelon puree to the shaker, reserving the rest for later use.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

4. Shake and Strain:

  • Close the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
  • Strain the margarita mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice.

5. Garnish:

  • Garnish your spicy watermelon margarita with a small slice of watermelon or a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
  • You can also add an extra slice of jalapeño for an added spicy kick if you like.

6. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve your spicy watermelon margarita immediately while it's icy cold.
  • Sip and savor the refreshing and spicy flavors of this delicious cocktail.

Optional: If you prefer a sweeter margarita, you can adjust the amount of agave nectar or simple syrup to suit your taste. You can also adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapeño slices. Cheers!
